Hi everyone! I know I have been awful quiet. School started and that is always a new task to get back on schedule with. Today, I am helping kick off the Tour of the Off Shoulder Tunic Pattern from EYMM. This is going to be a perfect staple for fall, and there is both a girls and women’s version. You can save even more money and get the bundle

This was something I got to become a part of very quickly, like 3 days ago quick lol and I was a bit slow so I got to kick it off! How is that for some pressure? So, a little information: I just cut this out last night and sewed it this morning after I got back from an appointment, hence the late in the day post. It was so easy to put together. If you aren’t familiar with EYMM, her patterns go together very quickly aka NO TRIMMING when piecing the pattern together. I love it! She is a mom of 5 as well so she understands how precious time is. The sewing took me about an hour to complete, with potty breaks for a 3 yr old and addressing her various needs. So I think you could easily cut that down if you are all alone. Gloriously alone! Alone? Wait, what is that? I am jealous. So jealous of your possible alone time!
It is in triple digits in my area, soooo we opted for upcycling from a t-shirt. I like that it will give her some warmth for when autumn actually appears without making her too hot. I want to try some in fleece for the winter when we might need it. Sadly, I didn’t have enough of this beautiful orchid because it was a short sleeve 2x woman’s shirt (bargain find) so I made the cowl from my white interlock stash. I like how it complimented it and gave her an added accessory. I had a vision for a dress, but could not complete that in time for my 4 year old with her being in school all day so my 3 year old got a shirt with the same idea. I really really LOVE how it came out adding that skirt/ruffle/peplum! It added a little hint of “cute” to the adorable trendy sweater. I can’t wait to make it in a dress for my other daughter.

Perfect for apple picking right around the corner

Some of the great things about this pattern:

  • Sizes newborn to girls 16
  • Easy to follow directions
  • Minimal pages to print
  • Fast project (can easily be done in under 2 hours)
  • No paper to trim

Now, you want to buy this pattern now to get ready for fall because it is on sale for 25% off the EYMM Off the Shoulder Tunic pdf pattern until 11:59 PM PST on 8/20 with the code FALLISCOMING. If you buy the bundle, that means you can get both the girls and woman’s patterns for less than $13

This is such a unique design! I love how the white fabric you used gives the cowl the appearance of a stole, and it paired with the plum color reminds me of a Disney princess gown! Great job!
