I am so excited to be able to put together my first blog tour, and just in time to honor a very special holiday in Mexican culture “Dia de los Muertos” or translated to Day of the Dead.
It is a day meant to honor and remember dead loved ones. It celebrates the life and spirits of those we love who are no longer with us. If you are ever able to see a Dia de los Muertos event in action, you will see lots of color throughout from the clothing, flowers, sugar skulls, music, and altars. Also, like most holidays, it was made as a way to bridge religious faith and traditions.
You can learn much more HERE, and I will also be including a couple of facts everyday on the tour.
So today, kicking off the tour is Felt With Love Designs
“Alicia is the creator of Felt With Love Designs where she and her husband, Patrick write about all of their crafty and artistic endeavors. Patrick is the artist behind the ideas. Alicia designs patterns from his sketches and bring them to life with a needle and thread. While they specialize in felt creations, they are also passionate about sewing, family, creative writing, crafts, drawing, reading, and education.”
She is bringing this amazing and simple project with a free tutorial: go here for more Sugar Skull (Calavera) Ornament
You will want to check in everyday to see what else is in store so check in everyday.
