MCM Pattern Tour: Birthday Lovebird Peplum

It is a very special day today! I get to help contribute to a pattern tour of MCM Studio Designs patterns AND my first daughter is 9 years old today. So of course, I had to pick a date for to celebrate her birthday, and give me something extra special to make for her.

The pattern I am showing you is the Lovebird Dress, and it is so sweet with lots of options. It features a button closure with a heart cutout. You can make a short or long length, ruffles all around, just the back, or none and a cut apron to go over. Now, my daughter is in that tween age and has become very picky and uncooperative about dresses, so I used the ruffle to make a beautiful peplum shirt. She even got to use mommy’s special Tula Pink fabric I just got last week from Bee Quilted Beauties.

This pattern comes in sizes 2-14, so you have lots of use with the sizes and options. It has a placket for the skirt. And the instructions were very easy to understand. MCM Studio Designs was a new to me designer, and her other patterns she has are classic and modest with a special twist to them. I will definitely be trying more. I love when you find those patterns that have a hint of something special. Even better when you can use it for a fast hack.

You can get 25% off through April 25th.  Prices are reduced at Craftsy, and you can use the coupon code SPRINGSALE25 at Etsy, and Big Cartel Shop.
