2nd Annual Dia de los Muertos Tour: Day 5

We are on day 5 of the tour, and I am blown away with what has been shared so far. Crafts, lessons, shared stories of heritage and death. Today is no different. We have some yummy goodies with some festive toppers and a gorgeous dress.

First, let’s meet Whisk ‘Em. I love the things that she creates. She has a such a great eye for details. She is sharing this gorgeous dress that she made, and be sure to enjoy that beautiful papel picado she has in her photos. Click the photo to read more

Next up is the talented designer behind some patterns I love, Golden Rippy. She made these delicious looking cupcakes and added festive cake toppers to pull in the theme. And let me tell you, in the mexican culture, sweets are super important for all celebrations. Click the photo to read.

Since we came up to the topic of food, the food of choice for Dia de los Muertos is really fine tuned to the person. Many offerings include their favorites foods and treats. However, traditionally, Pan de Muerto is the bread made. It is a slightly sweet bread and you can try this recipe HERE. Other foods that are common are pan dulce, champurrado, mole, arroz y frijoles, elote, tamales, and candy. Enjoy a meal of traditional mexican foods during this time and share some stories.

I am so excited to show you what is coming tomorrow. I know you are going to love what these bloggers have created!
